hah!
Saturday I cleaned the kitchen & made spaghetti sauce. Saturday night
jw1776 complained that the sauce had too many spices and - horrors - I'd put wine in it (Merlot). In his words, "Jen, you killed it".
Then he slathered on parmesan and choked down a bowlful.
I thought it hadn't simmered enough, and had too much oregano, but otherwise was fine. So I put the rest into the fridge. Today I got the sauce out, added a handful of basil, and mixed it with penne, grated parmesan, and grated cheddar in a casserole dish. Baked it at 350 for half an hour.
Lo and behold, he specifically told me that liked the sauce much better tonight. :) And the kitchen is *still* clean.
