Woke up at 7:30

I'm not sure I believe it, but I apparently did. I thought it was 8:30 - maybe I need to get a Really BIG Clock that I can read a) without glasses and b) on < 6 hours of sleep.

I figured out what time it was in the bathroom, but I turned off the alarm (set for 8) and got dressed anyway. I dug around in my storage bins out in the garage and found sweaters and sweats and jeans. Oh, and several tank tops, swimsuits and shorts! Yay for finding the rest of the summer wardrobe!

Went for a walk. Walking in the morning seems to work well - I'm not awake enough to do much else *before* the walk, and it's not hot yet.

I'm surprised this sort of thing hasn't been found before. It's a logical progression of site hacking, high-speed home use by non-techies, and Napster-style distributed servers. At the moment it appears Windows machines are targetted (can you say, "more plentiful, fewer techies per capita"?) Of course, 'not having been seen done' is not the same as 'not done'....

I may be taking an after-lunch nap.

Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] damiana_swan and [livejournal.com profile] songhawk!

(no subject)

Note to self: When you cut down a low-hanging tree limb that is too large to go in the yard waste bin, do not, repeat, DO NOT, leave it lying on the ground so that it can plot revenge, trip you, and scratch your leg for good measure.

On the good side...

It is not yet 70F here yet, I'm making french press coffee, and [livejournal.com profile] jw1776 sez not to put on shorts or anything until after the neosporin soaks into the owies on my knee. (I added the shorts I was wearing to the laundry before cleaning up my scrapes. Priorities are important.)
