Quote of the Day

"I'm just a guy who's partially disabled and who has laws set up out there to protect my rights to live as a human, not as some second-class citizen," he said. "I'm glad the Disability Act was established before Tim Eyman came along or I'd still be fighting high curbs in crosswalks.

"I used to think Tim Eyman was an OK kind of guy, fighting the good fight; now I see his true colors."
-- quoted in the Seattle P-I
That's the high point of the article. The low part is that Eyman has filed
  • A referendum on HB 2661, which added sexual orientation to the groups protected from for employment & housing discrimination, AND
  • Initative 927 to ban any quotas or other preferential treatment based on sexual orientation.
More info: Eyman's referendum isn't on the Washington Secretary of State's Initiatives & Referenda page yet - but there are a lot of initiatives to the people filed by Tim Eyman.
