Yargh!
Okay, whoever entered us in the "Survivor: Homeowners Edition"? VOTE US OUT. Now. And our friends, too.
Day after Thanksgiving. Turkey in the oven, 15-20 friends expected soon for games & fun, I go to get something from under the kitchen sink and find an inch of water.
jw1776 and I clean out the area and
jw1776 starts trying to figure out the problem with some help from
skydancer. I ended up getting a new length of p-pipe from Home Depot,
jw1776 replaces it, and things go ahead as expected.
Last night we had a combination of problems: The toilet tank upstairs didn't stop running, so it overflowed to the bowl to drain. Second problem? The bowl was blocked. I discovered this when I saw water pouring through the light fixture in the downstairs bathroom. The problem was pretty easy to fix (turn off water to tank, plunge, test) but the cleanup took a bit more work. Two loads of wet towels later (mopping up an inch of water in the upstairs bathroom + a couple buckets downstairs) and it's waiting for things to dry out.
Which brings us to today.
skydancer,
caeled, and R spent the day lugging sandbags at their place. This evening
dustin_00 and
loba are also dealing with flooding. THIS IS GETTING OLD. STOP IT.
