Left Amazon
Jun. 22nd, 2019 02:27 pmPartly it was that I was tired of the treadmill of projects and "how are you going to top things NOW?"
Partly it's that when I think of Amazon I remember I started there, on a 3-month temp job, right after I finally convinced Dad to see a doctor - which turned into an ER visit, which turned into a hospital stay. During my time Amazon, Dad got out of the hospital, into a nursing home for rehab, and after that it was the long odyssey of decline and adult family homes.
Other things happened too - but more recently, losing Dana, buying a house with John and Jesse, and then my own hospital stay - somehow Amazon didn't matter as much. The changes to my job also didn't interest me, which meant I didn't do it as well.
So.
I'm OK for now; Amazon, bless its heart, offered me 3 months' severance if I wanted to spare my manager the hassle of a PIP. In the meantime, maybe I should deal with some boxes from the move 2 years ago.
