They're not kidding. I got a bag of individually wrapped frozen salmon filets at Costco. Each filet is about the size of an average restaurant serving. The bag says that each 'portion' is between 8 and 9 oz.
Consider that a meat portion is supposed to be about 3 oz.
And that one is supposed to eat 2 or 3 portions a day.
Basically, one of these filets is enough meat for an entire day.
*Savors taste of salmon poached in lemon juice, then browned in butter* Not that there's anything wrong with having all the meat you need in one meal.... ;)
