Trouble sleeping tonight, so I'm having some cocoa & surfing. The condo board meeting I've been stressing about for, oh, 2 weeks is finally over. You'd think I could relax. No, I'm busy thinking about how it could have gone better.
Not that it couldn't have gone worse. I've seen many worse. We completed much more work than at any previous "open" board meeting I can recall. ("Open" meaning that any owner can show up & observe, ask questions, or comment.) I tried a new agenda format tonight that worked well - it allocated time for each item & had the text of motions included for speed.
Some things I can learn from tonight:

Some things I can learn from tonight:
- I don’t need to carry the whole meeting or know the answers to all of the questions from all of the owners.
- Shut up and let the other Board members handle their own stuff.
- Asking other Board members to respond to comments & questions is good. I wonder if I can maneuver them into not needing to be asked...?
