I've been scrubbing one of the main brick planters downstairs. It's at a height where crouching or bending over works, but not standing: hence the back is sore. I came up to rest my back and refill the bleach / water solution I'm using and haven't gone back down yet. Procrastinating? Moi?
I did call Roy to offer support. His long-distance girlfriend has leukemia & he hasn't heard from her since she went back to the hospital a few days ago. Most all I can do right now is listen. So I do.
I also got sucked into Trading Spaces; finally turned on the VCR so I could check email & confirm some things.
In other news, I'm doing some laundry & tried a new bread recipe last night. It's a basic whole wheat bread. Pretty tasty, but I don't think it rose enough - I need to remember to have it rise in the laundry room if the oven's off. Also made brownies & marked some interesting courses in BCC's continuing ed catalog, which came yesterday. There's a 1-day course on making sushi rolls that
jw1776 would probably like, and I'm considering Tai Chi again. Also possibly Yoga. Of course I could just go for a walk every day....
Back is still sore, but the sun is going down. Time for a stretch, ibuprofen, and back downstairs...
