updated reminder for Saturday's concert
Aug. 16th, 2002 01:58 amCheck http://www.gaiaconsort.com/redmond.html for revised directions.
There is construction blocking one of the roads in and the directions have the workaround.
Hey everybody! Come join us Saturday, August 17th, 8pm as Gaia Consort splits the bill with cellist Gideon Freudman, at the home of Dave and Betsy Tinney. Doors open at 7:30.
Imagine a cool August night, warm enough for shirtsleeves but cool enough to relax. You're surrounded by tall doug fir, cedar and cool natural stone. The sun begins to set, the lights come up, and the and haunting, quirky cello music takes over....
That's the expected scene as Dave and Betsy have built a stone stage on their new patio specifically for house concerts. If it rains, we'll move inside.
Gideon, for those of you who missed him last year, is a very interesting east coast cellist, using the cello like I use the guitar, as well as accompanying himself through the use of digital delay. Gideon is jaw dropping good and you should make this your big Gaia Consort Summer event...
Joining us for the concert will be Larry Golding on violin, the newest fish in the Gaia Consort pool of violinists. We'll also be introducing at least one new song - I've been doing a little writing lately.
Suggested Donation is $6 - $15. As usual, it's a no to low alcohol event, and of you want to bring some pot-luck munchies, you're encouraged. There will be an intermission between acts.
See ya at the show!
Feel free to post this to appropriate lists...
