Saw another of the 'illegal drug use supports terrorism ads' recently. I had an image of a parody ad that could be created:

SETTING
RESTAURANT
Nice place. Linen tableclothes, wine goblets, steaks & salads. People look upper-middle class, lots of silk, wool, suits.

FOCUS
Two men in suits sitting at a table set with salads and wine.

Man 1
This drug stuff is, well, complicated.

Man 2
Let's see. Alcohol prohibition put all alcohol production and sales into the hands of criminals and drove up the price. Organized crime made a boatload of money, killed whoever got in their way, and let the little guys go to jail. A lot of normal people became criminals, including nonviolent alcoholics who turned to crime to pay the black-market prices. When alcohol prohibition was repealed, it took the alcohol business *away* from criminals, reduced prices, created a lot of jobs for taxpayers, [lifts wineglass in toast] and made it possible for you and I to have a glass of this locally grown wine with our dinner without breaking any laws. [Sips wine].

Why wouldn't repealing drug prohibition have the same benefits?

Man 1
Okay, so it's not complicated.
