Starbucks' coupon for reading?

srallen pointed out this link today. I subsequently discovered

1. You don't have to LIVE within the Seattle city limits to take advantage of this, and
2. You don't even have to have a Seattle Library card, but
3. I signed up for a card anyway - Redmond residents are eligible and there's a branch that seems like a good lunchtime I-want-out-of-the-office destination :)
4. What counts? Reading three books (or listening to three books on tape) between June 1 and Aug. 31, 2005.
5. If you read more you can keep entering the raffle but you only get the Starbucks card for the first one

I listed the three new books I've read in the last 2 weeks: Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince, Undead & Unappreciated (screamingly silly fun), and The Man In The Gray Flannel Suit (compelling story of a vet struggling to integrate the worlds of home, work, war, & family-of-origin...I don't want to give away spoilers, but the books is damn good).

In other news, saw cyberangel_'s new toy today, got some nifty peppermint lotion for my footsies, picked up some cold salads to go with meatloaf, spent a good part of the day cleaning out my inbox and getting organized.... All in all, a good day.
