perfume source

I discovered Aedes De Venustas a while ago. They carry fairly high-end, fairly rare stuff. They do have a sample service - I've been wearing a package of 7 samples I requested for a while now. In particular I wear diptyque's Jardin Clos (a subtle and comforable bouquet) and Ofresia (fresia softened by a touch of freshly trimmed grass). I like Olene, but it's too sharp for me to wear often - it's a bright combination of wisteria & narcissus, tho I always think there's gardenia in it too. Note, I got these samples - and more - for $15 (tho samples are free with an order).

They also tossed in some extra samples I hadn't requested, like Serge Lutens Sa Majesté La Rose. I thought I was burned out on rose perfumes...this is wonderful, and yes, I wear it happily. They also sent a sample of the sandalwood and musk-based perfume by Serge Lutens that I don't dislike Normally musk or sandalwood cause a race - will my eyes water before the nose wrinkles in dislike, or after?

I also popped for the lavender room spray. It also has a sense of fresh greens to it - apparently they use the leaves & stems in making it, not just the lavender blooms.

So, BPAL addicts - hey, it could be worse ;)
