- Today a car crashed into the Real Networks building. Driver is in Harborview Medical Center.
- Twenty minutes later, another car drove through a guardrail to fall 25 feet onto a Dumpster at 1st and Seneca. The driver walked away. (Pictures are on the Seattle Livejournal Community.)
More info in a Seattle Times article on both crashes; KIRO TV specifically on the fall. (Interesting that one has the car travelling northbound on the viaduct and the other has the car going westbound on Seneca. I think he was on the Viaduct heading north, then got onto the Seneca Street exit - which goes west. You can see a map here (zoom in a little))
Oh, and not only has Seattle surpassed already the November rainfall record (from Nov 1998) this month but we're closing in on the all-time monthly rainfall record from December 1933. Of course, that's only 15.33 inches. Mount Rainer National Park got 18 inches on Nov 6 & 7; you can see a PDF of the results here.
At the moment, here in Kirkland, it's sunny with blue skies and fluffy white clouds. But like the stock market ... it will fluctuate.
