Wow I haven't been posting much have I?
Jan. 3rd, 2007 02:27 pmI'm watching the sky while I wait for a slllooowww query to come back. The clouds are fluffy today and moving pretty quickly (I'm watching a big one leave the window pane in front of me). Toss in that they're sparse enough to allow sunlight through - and glimpses of blue to be spotted - and it's a pretty good show at the moment.
Fortunately the high winds are up with the clouds and not down here with the trees.
I've been redecorating my cube a bit. New page-a-day calendar is 7 Habits, but I still have origami examples. Switched my background image from cyclamen and poinsettia to a snow-dappled evergreen; flipped the wall calendar to a photo of the sea stacks at second beach by LaPush, a place I remember fondly, even if I haven't been there since college. The wall calendar is doubled so just the picture shows - basically it's changeable wall art. And I made a new project calendar in publisher, all set for me to pencil in my [changeable] dates.
Personal stuff? I'm getting used to not sleeping past noon. Yup, back at work, indeed. Last night we toasted
dustin_00's birthday at the Three Lions pub. It was also my second night without the humidifier. Yay sleep. Walked a couple labyrinths Sunday night, which was calming, and attended a (as-always) packed Compline, which was nice. Tried a newish variant on giftmas giving at a party Friday - put a bunch of fun things in a basket and let my friends choose which they wanted - and it seemed to go over well. Also arranged for a few other things ... still waiting for an estate sale yummy to arrive in the mail.
Oh, and happy new year :)
