Seattle/Eastside reminder: Bush
Aug. 27th, 2007 10:31 amReminder: the WA DOT site has a real-time bead on traffic in the greater Seattle area. The City of Bellevue actually has cameras at the protest site - but they're currently "Out of Service Due to Police Activity". Which probably means, "Under manual control with more zoom than normal while we look for assassins..."
What's going on? Simple. President Bush is coming to a fund raiser for Rep Reichert in Bellevue today. Protesters are rallying at the Bradford Center in Bellevue from 12:30 on; Bush is flying into Sea-Tac in "midafternoon" and is due at the Bellevue Hyatt at 4:25. Fun! The secret service and state patrol aren't divulging the route, but Bellevue Police said that 405 would likely be affected. 405 is the most direct way from Sea-Tac to Bellevue, tho of course a floating bridge could come into play as well....
