javagoth found Third Place a bit overwhelming...I'm aware I sort of withdrew a bit, socializing with only the folks at my table, and not really paying attention to anyone else. It wasn't that I had a problem with socializing with other folks - just that the crowd was too big for me, so I focused on a smaller group.
All that said, I'm glad I was there. I got to givebyrdie the Lush things we brought back from Victoria and to catch up a bit. I also received a Taurus Hello Kitty doll, aka "Devil Hello Kitty". It's cute and horned and vaguely cowhide-patterned with a tufted tail....frightening.
Note to self: memorize the phrase "No. Thank you." and use it whenever someone you don't know tries to touch you. It's much clearer than babbling.
