Got up about 11am, found my copy of The Burglar Who Painted Like Mondrian (I seem to be re-reading the Burglar series). Read til 12:30.
Ate something.
Read some more Burglar.
Got online to check email, read the papers, and check LJ.
Went to Bellevue Square. Walked the length of the mall, got a copy of Burning Water and Metallica's black album. Started reading Burning Water. Walked back the length of the mall.
Driving home, I realized I'd only had one glass of water and was getting one of my dehydration headaches. Focused on driving *very* carefully.
Got home, got the (paper) mail, drank a large tumbler of water, refilled the tumbler. My head really wanted me to lay down, so I did.
Called John to catch up. While sipping water.
Read more Burning Water.
Refilled my tumbler again. Decided to cheat and order take-out for dinner -- CPK.
Jesse got home, looking hot, sweaty, and sunburned. I got him some water while he took a cool shower. He also brought me Fisher Fair Scones, so I had a few with yet more water.
Dinner arrived. We ate. And drank water. I think the food may have helped the headache too.
I finished Burning Water. While drinking water.
By then, it'd cooled off considerably outside; even the deck (on the SW corner of the building with no shade) wasn't too hot on my bare feet. I moved the roses and other planters all on one half of the deck, found the biodegradable floor cleaner, and scrubbed down the half of the deck. The cold water felt great on my feet. As usual, excess water sprayed from each joint (hose bib to hose, hose to scrub brush handle) but I was hot enough I didn't mind. Then I fed the roses and watered everybody. Got out with only two scratches -- if I knew which rosebush it was, I'd try not feeding it next time, but I don't.
Called Lisa, caught up a bit. Suggested she start reading LJ.
Got online again to read LJ & tomorrow's comics while sipping water. Also played a Tropico scenario.
I'll probably finish The Burglar Who Painted Like Mondrian and have another scone before bed. And drink more water. The headache's *almost* gone...
