What is your most prized material possession?
Hell. If the house was on fire, I'd grab the cat, wallet, and car keys. But I don't regard
canacat as a possession, really. The wallet and car keys are practical things. Hm. The Dykes To Watch Out For original artwork, my "DOS Lives" mug, wedding ring...on a practical note, there's my glasses. I guess I'm just not sure.
What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest?
The framed, embroidered wall hanging with my birth date, length, weight, & so on. It was made before I was a year old.
Are you a packrat?
Yes.
Clean house, or clutter?
Some clutter is nice, but we often end up with 'too much' on my scale.
Is there a method to all this madness you call home?
"Early Book", as one person put it ;) Loads of shelves, loads of books. Furniture is chosen with 'comfy' in mind. The library has teak, maple, and red accents (appropriate, since it's the read room). The living room and our bedroom have a touch of a beachy theme, with blues and greens. The kitchen is yellow with white cabinets, and I'm going to make red curtains & add some other red accents. Most of my 'office' furniture is white and light woods, so I painted the walls peach. Oh, and the artwork has a lot of seascapes, with some sci-fi and homey domestic views to round it out.
