It feels like my right does after using a mouse for hours on end (say, while playing a game without changing position). It started after some complicated work on the G (leftmost) string, which is the farthest 'reach' in terms of lateral movement. I think I had my left shoulder raised - it's feeling a touch sore - and *youch* my wrist. My right arm is fine.
I'm checking some references on violin technique now to help me fix this over the next week. I may start practing in front of a mirror. I *know* I don't have the 'perfect' Isosceles triangle, but I'm not sure where I'm off.
Rehearsal was fun. The music was hard for me to play; I doubt I'll be performing anytime soon; but I had fun, and that's the point. I did giggle when the conductor asked if anyone had spare plywood and, preferably, knew how to put it together into something podium-like. I waited a beat, then announced that gee, I know a carpenter who builds custom furniture. I gave him the Personal Constructs URL & Joe's phone number before I left.
There also was a bit of 'old home week'. Rehearsal was in building 9, and I was thrilled to see the big blue Chihuly chandelier again. The sports fields and jogging paths were busier then I remember...or perhaps I just hadn't seen them much this early in the evening ;)
Jesse said that Cana was looking for me while I was gone. That may be, but now that I'm physically here, I don't even rate a yawn. Perhaps she just likes to inventory her possessions?
