...I want a nap. And a day off. Please?
Tonight I'm supposed to go by 24-hr Fitness to "straighten out" my membership. I stopped by to see Jesse there this morning & saw Jerri, who signed us up yesterday. I told her I won't be doing the pre-pay; she tried to talk me out of it. No, I am *not* in a good mood.
Part of the bad mood is that I like the Bellevue Y. It's a totally different atmosphere. Things like *light* and *space* and *people* - a variety of people, even, of varying ages and sizes. It's like they missed the memo that says all health clubs have to have only people aged 18-40! Oh, and no annonying dance music. You can think! My God! And no neon-colors-mixed-with-gray on the walls, and did I mention actual *lighting*, some of it *natural*? The cardio rooms look out a wall of *windows* toward a park.
jw1776 came by for a hug and says there were lots of 50ish folks at 24-hour fitness today while he was working out, of lots of ethic backgrounds. Just no "smalls", which pleases him - he doesn't want to trip over a small one.
Which brings me to the point. I prefer the Y. Jesse prefers 24-Hr Fitness. I want to just cancel my 24-hr membership and join the Y. He's happy with his current membership & would like me to stay at 24-Hr Fitness. Toss in that I'm more likely to actually work out if it's with him....
I don't like these kind of decisions.
They are only a block or two apart. In all fairness, I should note that I prefer the pool room at 24-Hr Fitness and that 24-Hr Fitness has more weight machines & a wider variety of weights. Since weightlifting & swimming are what I intend to do....
I still don't like these kind of decisions.
Oh, and I got my period. What a wonderful fucking day.
