Ow

Poor jw1776. He awoke this morning to a *THUMP*, followed by *thump*, *thump*, *thump*, *thump*, *thump*. He also heard a bit of a reverb, and me saying "Oh shit, oh shit". He figured the big thump was "Them hitting the waterfront" and I was reacting to the fireball.

No, dear, nothing that exciting. The big thump was my butt hitting the stairs, and the little thumps were me sliding partway down the rest of the way. Some of the reverb may have been an echo, but it also might have been my right foot (which was located at the right of my hip) hitting the railing on the way down.

I straightened my right leg and wiggled my toes and stretched while Jesse kept saying 'Don't move'. Then I heard him in the shower. After I bit I decided I could probably stand, which I did, and walk, which I did, and try the intro section of my new yoga tape, which I did. (Mostly floor work - boat, child, cobra.) I finished about the time that Jesse came downstairs. Not seeing me, he started calling my name. I replied that I was on the floor of the living room since I'd just finished the yoga tape. He said, "Oh, then you're okay."

Uh, yeah, except for being sore where I hit the stairs. But I collected lots of hugs and he coaxed the cat onto me while he got ready to run errands. We did a purring meditation for 15 minutes. Now I'm making coffee and I've about figured out what my characters are going to do next, so I think I will write about them for a bit.

Rediscovering the yummy goodness of

...oatmeal on a cold morning. Hadn't made this in a while, so I had it with my omelet this morning.

1 cup apple juice
1/3 cup oatmeal
Nutmeg & cinnamon to taste

Simple, no? Heat apple juice & oatmeal on medium-low heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add seasonings, eat hot.

My hip is still sore, and there are assorted other twinges, but things are doing okay. I've gone up and down the stairs about 5 times since I slipped. Oh, and the hiccups I got around 11:30 are finally GONE (hallelujah!), Jesse brought me chocolate-chip cookies, and I'm on page 103.
