Gary Locke's not running for a third term. The AG is running, and the Republicans are considering their King County Chair's husband Bob Herbold. Yes, the Herbold who was MSFT's COO, and before that was at Proctor & Gamble.

Holy shit. I though the Washington State Republicans were too worried about gay rights, persecution of Christians and parents, and the sky falling to even consider letting a grown-up run for statewide office. This could possibly be a two-person race for once...

So around 4:30 am I gave up on sleep and gave in to my Thai Pizza craving. Yum. Read a bit, watered the plants, went for a walk - said 'hi' to runnerwolf when I got back - and realized it was 6:30 and nearly 70 outside. Ack! Closed all the windows and blinds, went upstairs, crawled into bed and snuggled with jw1776 a bit. He went to work, I went to sleep.

Yawn.

It's not too hot in here right now, though I did slap myself for not taking any liquids for 4-5 hours after getting up. jw1776 made dinner, and I found hot food quite appetizing after a cold bath. I cheated and left off moisturizer; I know I'm going to itch for it but I felt so nice and cool after the bath and didn't want to do anything to make me warmer. Well, I did put on a sundress because violindaine and chinchillagirl had come over to use the net connection.

I'm going to go ice down the mint tea I made. I plan to have it with chilled chocolate sandwhich cookies.
