Dec. 17th, 2004 06:35 amYesterday I couldn't stay awake. This morning I couldn't get back to sleep - too phlegmy, throat hurt too much. Now that I've had tylenol, ice water, some lemon tea, and I've got chicken noodle soup* on the stove I'm breathing easier.
One thing that always drives me nuts is trying to figure out if the throat is sore due to flu or if it's mutated into strep. Partly it's because I had a 10-year period where I got strep once a year without fail, so I got trained that sore throat == strep. Partly it's that I've had my throat so inflamed that my breathing was constricted, and I'm scared of that happening again. And if it's strep I should get on antibiotics - but not if it isn't....
In other news, I went to dye most of my hair (currently reddish brown) to match my roots (brown). Sort of like 'lowlights'. Only I think I got a shade too light ... basically I have the same color hair I started with. I hate that!
Eh. Time for breakfast.
*Campbell's chicken noodle soup is the base, at least. Then I add garlic, onion, more chicken, rice, perhaps some veggies....
