It is a perennial complaint among members of the clergy that many straight couples regard the chapel as little more than a stage set for a picture-perfect wedding. In contrast, many of the gay couples who are heading for the altar are regular worshipers who say in interviews that religion is central to their lives.

Something I've recently realized: it's become much more common to see an article like this that doesn't include anti-gay quotes for "parity". Which is as it should be. The article is about religious same-sex couples who, as they say, "seek God's blessing" on their marriages. Anti-gay quotes make as much sense here as including anti-semitic quotes in an article on Seder practices.
