Photos from Darfur, Sudan

The New York Times editorial page usually doesn't include photos. Today it does - photos of African victims of the Sudanese government as it tries to clear Darfur of non-Arabs. The article, including photos is here. A slideshow containing just the photos in large-size is here. My sarcastic side is wondering if somewhere some government lawyer isn't writing a brief defending the legal right of a government to kill any of its citizens that it deems undesirable....
Frankly I consider the (free) NYT registration worth it. But there's no one sitting behind you forcing you to enter correct, up-to-date information if you don't.
Note to self: The League of Women Voters has a representive lookup page here.
