In other news, I followed up a great weekend - despacho ceremony, lunch on the "dinner" train, helping out at the
gaiaconsort show, time with
skydancer and
jw1776 - ok, I also did laundry - with acid reflux making sleep difficult Sunday night. I took an acid-reducer around midnight and dozed off. Then at 2:30am I woke up in time to get to the bathroom before the grand duo of throwing up and diarrhea hit. And again at 5am. And also at 7am. Ye gods what a mess. I dug out an old bottom of fruit-flavored Tums clones and ate 4 of them. Followed with another 2 an hour later, and another 2 the next hour...At least I wasn't throwing up anymore. As for the other end, I think I had 4 imodium in me before things began to calm down.
jw1776, bless him, brought me towels and other useful things.
So, basically, yesterday sucked. I got better over time, but it sucked. Today was better. I did drag myself into the doctor for the pap smear my period prevented doing during my annual. I was feeling fairly droopy by the time I go to Third Place Books so I stopped home for tea and browsing. Picked up a used copy of The Documents In The Case. I'd perked up from the tea and a scone, but didn't stay for the socializing in case it's contagious...
The brain seems to be working again, which is good. I hope to be back to normal tomorrow.
