Hosed down the windows, washed the worst ones, pulled weeds, trimmed the rhody closest to the driveway, pulled out all blackberry canes, determined cutting back heather needs hedge clippers, pulled more weeds, sprayed front yard roses (so they're not food-safe) but held off on fertilizing (worried both might be too big of a shock).
Apparently being gone for a week gave the front yard time to grow tall grass. It even has seeds. (Our front yard has grass? Who knew?) Backyard had some buttercups and lots of moss in with the weeds. Tempted to try to move some buttercups to the front yard. North side yard has little pink flowers, almost like baby's breath.
