Be careful of what you wish for
Jun. 2nd, 2003 03:31 pmI've been wishing for a week or so that it occasionally be quiet around here. No TV, just wind and birds and neighborhood sounds. Never mind that the reason I have an office is so I can have a quiet part of the house. Never mind that I could go outside or *gasp* for a walk and enjoy the quiet. Never mind.
Tomorrow Jesse leaves for his Montana trip, which means it will *definitely* be quiet here. Oy.
Yes, I want him to have fun. No, heat exhaustion girl doesn't want to go. Yes, I'm glad he'll see Ellie &
garzan. I'm just missing him early.
Speaking of my office, I'm a lot more comfortable in it now that I've done some cleaning. Imagine that. I've been working away on the book for the last couple hours, plus doing some research on exactly which editors will get query letters.
Tonight I'm going to my first rehearsal at a community orchestra. Yay me.
I got seriously pissed today. Jesse had a call from our cell provider who wanted to speak with him. I asked what the problem was, since I have a phone with the account too. She asked for his social security number. I said I'd have to go get it off the tax return. She says "Well, since you don't have his social, I'll have to speak with him." ( rant )
Which reminds me, I should go give him the message.
