I gave up on getting to sleep around 1:30 this morning, so I got up for some chamomile tea. Got to sleep around 4, kissed Jesse goodbye at 6, got up just before 9. Maybe I'm getting into a need-less-sleep cycle?

Took out the garbage & recycling, took my antihistimine...which doesn't seem to be working...and had some leftover chinese. Fortunes:
Areas of communication may be very busy at present.

Remember to share good fortune as well as bad with your friends.
Some decisions to make:

Finish the book, or continue tweaking what I've already written? I think finishing it is the better call, right now. I'm making notes of what I want to change, but part of me is afraid I'll never finish it.

Defrost some salmon, or finish the leftovers? Probably leftovers, since Jesse isn't here. Of course, Jesse not here is an excuse to eat salmon, too. Mmmm....

How Odd

Cana is circling the desk. She did the chin-marking thing on my printer cable, meowed at my expectantly, and now she's in about the only sunny spot in the room (well, other than the top of the storage cubes).

Did I not do sufficient kitty-cuddling this morning, or what?

2 loads of laundry done and the winter (cotton knit) comforter cover is in the washer. I put the summer (cotton chambray) cover on last night.

I saw a doe and a fawn while driving around Lake Sammamish! I also pissed off the tailgaiter behind me - damn right I brake for fawns! The lake is soo blue and the trees are soo green. The house I've been lusting after has a variety of trees planted on the front slope, which will, I would hope, prevent erosion without hurting the view.

Yes, I stopped by the Krispy Kreme drive-through.

Spent the last $15 of my buying ability at the msft company store. With the new year starting July 1 I'd say that I budgeted my company store purchases well.

Hair trimmed (mostly split ends off the back).

Went for a walk along part of the Sammamish River Trail. It's nice, but awfully flat - my lower back was aching a bit at the end. I didn't know they had pop machines along the trail! ;) Garbage haul was light: 1 Baskin-Robbins spoon. Picked up a scornful glance from the woman with the minivan at the parking lot as she read my bumper stickers. Heh. Current stickers, for those who haven't seen the car ) Of course, it could be she disapproves of 400-lb women wearing tank tops. Too bad. I enjoy wearing tank tops.

Made an appointment to have the Prius' oil changed - 10am Friday morning.

Back to work....

Phone buzz

[record-keeping]

Spoke with Verizon today about the persistant buzz on our line. I plugged a phone into the jack at the point of entry (phone box next to the electric meter) and the buzz is there too, so it's not in the house wiring/phone equipment. (I had hoped it was a phone...we have extra phones...oh well.)

Verizon said they should have it fixed by 6:25pm tomorrow (24 hours from my call) or we will get a credit on our phone bill. The ticket # for tracking the problem is our home #. I answered questions about access to the box, whether we have a dog, that I'll be home most (if not all) of the day, and gave my cell # too.
